There's no Alpha in sight, no estimated release date, no hands-on previews or showcases, and no reason to believe the game isn't still in pre-production. In my opinion, I think Mark Jacobs reached for the stars, failed to reach half that distance, and has been struggling to keep climbing, despite the years and years that have passed with little progress.
